Overview:
During my fourth year I joined the motion capture team at Metric Minds as intern for 12 weeks. During my internship the company was working on multiple projects, I got to work on several of these projects in my time there. Currently all these projects are under NDA so I cant disclose details about any of them or provide images of any of the projects.

Data processing
Metric Minds is an outsource company so a big part of my internship was learning how to switch between projects fast and adjust since it was also a new motion capture system and software for me. In the first weeks I learned how to navigate Vicon Blade and process data from a optical system, my role in the production pipe being cleaner so I had to learn how to work fast and cleanly. |
Setrunner
There were a lot of shoots going on during my internship so I was often working on set, getting a close-up view of how to work with clients, what the best way is to navigate a shoot etc. My task was being a runner meaning that in the morning I prepared the actor(s) with markers and made sure the set was ready to go and the rest of the day I was responsible for props, sets etc. Trying to learn from the operator and supervisor at free moments to gain a better knowledge of the operating software. |
